About the show

Meet the Founders

Meet the Founders is APH's long-form interview podcast — one founder, one hour, one honest conversation about how the company actually got built. We do the homework. Every episode is researched against the founder's real situation: the round they just closed, the product they just shipped, the team they just lost, the market they just moved into. The conversation goes into the specifics — what the early customer pipeline actually looked like, what they would tell their younger founder-self about the pricing decision, what the cap-table moment really felt like — not the press release version. We talk to founders at every stage from seed to listed, across SaaS, hardware, climate, consumer, fintech and biotech. We make a point of having founders on whose stories do not usually get told in this format: women founders, founders from outside the US-coastal axis, second-time operators who have learned things from the first time that don't make a tidy headline. The audience treats episodes as case studies — they listen with notebooks, they screenshot quotes, and they reach out to founders directly afterward. Sponsors who land here are placing into one of the most engaged audio audiences APH carries, and the host-read endorsement remains the format with the strongest measurable impact on advertiser awareness and recall. We also produce written companion notes for each episode, which is where the second sale tends to live. Those notes get distributed inside the AI Frontiers and Executive Brief lists, doubling the addressable audience for any sponsorship tied to a specific founder episode. Smart sponsors buy the host-read endorsement on the audio and the companion display in the written notes as a single integrated flight — it is the package with the strongest measured uplift on the network.

Audience

Aspiring entrepreneurs, current operating founders, startup operators, early-stage investors and angels, accelerator programme leads, and business school students who use the episodes as case material. Roughly 55% UK and EU, 30% North America, 15% rest-of-world. Listener loyalty is unusually high — repeat-completion rate sits above 70%. The audience treats the back-catalogue as a working library: episodes from a year ago still get listened to, screenshotted and referenced. We see consistent uplift on a founder's LinkedIn and public profile in the weeks after their episode goes live, which is why founders increasingly approach us, rather than the other way around — they want the long-form record on their own founder story.
